Andrea, NP
Nurse practitioner. Menopause specialist. Over 20 years in healthcare, dedicated to helping women feel heard and well cared for.
My Story
I didn’t set out to specialize in menopause care — but over time, it became clear that this is where women were being missed.
After more than 20 years working in healthcare, I started seeing more and more women in their 40s and 50s struggling with symptoms that weren’t being fully addressed. They were doing everything right — showing up, asking questions, trying to advocate for themselves — but often leaving appointments without clear answers or real support.
Working in a menopause-focused clinic, I saw something important. For many women, it was the first time they finally felt heard — especially after being dismissed or told their symptoms were just part of aging. But I also saw that care was often focused primarily on hormone therapy, without enough time to address everything else women were going through.
Because menopause isn’t just about hormones. It’s your sleep, your mood, your energy, your weight, your relationships — how you feel every day.
That’s what led me to build this clinic. I wanted to create a space where women feel heard, where there’s time to look at the full picture, and where care reflects all aspects of what women are going through. I also chose to make the clinic fully virtual to improve access — so women across Ontario can get the care they need without having to travel long distances to find it.
And as someone in this stage of life myself, I understand how much of a difference it makes to feel supported in a way that actually helps.
My Approach
Medicine understands menopause — but it doesn’t always see the whole woman.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based care, but it goes beyond that. I take the time to understand how your symptoms are affecting your life — not just individually, but together. That means looking at sleep, mood, weight, energy, sexual health, and overall well-being as part of one picture.
Care is personalized, practical, and designed to evolve over time. For some women, that includes hormone therapy. For others, non-hormonal options or lifestyle changes. Most often, it’s a combination.
The goal is simple: to help you feel better in a way that actually fits your life.
